KITE Architects – along with most of Providence – celebrated its latest triumph at the Grand Opening of The Dean Hotel on Fountain Street in Providence on April 4, 2014. Just opened, the hotel is attracting global attention, including Conde Nast Traveler’s 2014 Hot List of the world’s best new hotels in the “bargain” category in its most selective list to date, along with destinations in New York, Los Angeles, Beijing, and Panama City. As part of the recognition, the hotel was featured on CNN and NBC’s Today Show.

TRAC moves into Wolcott Ave with KITE’s help
KITE is proud to have helped TRAC Builders with interior design to retrofit the Eco-office at 28 Wolcott Avenue as their new headquarters.
Developed orginally by John T. Jacobson as a high-performance green building, KITE’s challenge was to preserve the airiness and beauty of the original interiors while accommodating the needs of TRAC’s growing business.
KITE chose a palette that reflected the original building’s black, white, and wood, and placed modular glass walls to define a new conference room used for regular collaborative sessions and private offices within the high-volume space. Ample natural daylight and sense of space prevail.
